Voimar is South Africa’s licensed telecoms company established in 2009 under the auspices of Tshesomo Capital. The company was founded by Motsamai Mokhomo (Main founder) and Zuko Leonard Rabotapi predominantly as a Wireless Application Service Provider (WASP).

The improvements in RSA telecoms infrastructure, governing laws, advancements in access technologies inspired the emergence of Voimar. The company embraces cloud first ethos to develop products and services for the African continent and beyond. Our story 


 

The company was found as a WASP providing SMS services to private and public sector customers. Regulatory changes in the country compelled the shift from WASP to more cloud services. Our customer book was consist of various types of customers but mainly marketing companies who used our SMS platform to run marketing campaigns. In our new naming convention we wanted to retain the wording that would signify our journey as a SMS marketing expert. Motsamai was moving away from SMS to VOICE business and had a need to name the new voice system. VOI(CE) + MAR(KETING) = VOIMAR naming was created, registered and patented. He later formulated a tag line to support the brand and the logo  "NEW WORLD CONNECTED".
